Miscellaneous Electronic Export Information (EEI), formally known as a Shipper's Export Declaration (SED) is a U.S. Government process for collecting export trade statistics and for export enforcement. The information is filed in the Automated Export System (AES) and all filings must be made electronically. A paper form is no longer acceptable.Shipments to Canada from the U.S. are exempt from this requirement. The EEI is not required for shipments from the U.S. to Canada unless the merchandise is subject to ITAR, requires an export license or permit, or is rough diamonds. Also used self-propelled vehicles require an AES Filing, regardless of value, and the filing must take place 72 hours prior to the export of the vehicle. Shippers filing directly with the Census Bureau must supply the AES Internal Transaction Number (ITN) at the time of pickup by UPS. The ITN should be placed on the thermal label or on the invoice as close to the total value as possible. |

CLEARANCE INFORMATION |
Clearance Comments Shipments with values exceeding 40,000.00 Baht (THB) require formal entries and hence may require 2 days for clearance. Customs Clearance Process UPS Thailand process Customs clearance for Express shipments based on 4 Categories below.
If importers wish to enjoy the actual tariff rates based on the different commodities, the shipment will have to clear under Category 4. Duty exemption privileges given to companies cannot be applied to shipments cleared under Express clearance Category 1 to 3. However, such shipments can be cleared under Category 4 although value is less than FOB THB 40,000. It is the responsibility of the importer to inform UPS Thailand before shipments arrival, should they intend to clear shipments under Category 4, when the FOB value is less than THB 40,000. Shipments customs cleared under Category 4 will have to incur the following additional charges:

All packages require a consignee's contact name and complete street address including apartment, suite or unit number if applicable. The consignee's telephone number should be provided if known. Areas Served Service is provided to and from certain cities.All the shipments to Thailand (letters, doc and non-doc) must have the consignee's telephone on the AWB, in order to avoid delays on the clearance and delivery of the package.
